I’m Michael Steighner — photographer, filmmaker, and storyteller working my way through all 63 U.S. national parks.

This isn’t a travel newsletter. It’s a dispatch from the road — the photography, the light, the decisions made slowly and in public, and the stories that only exist when you stay somewhere long enough to see it change.

I write when there’s something worth saying. That means you won’t hear from me every week on a schedule. You’ll hear from me when the light does something I can’t stop thinking about, when a park surprises me in a way I didn’t see coming, or when the thinking behind this project takes a turn worth sharing.
